Beds4Kids is a hands-on ministry of Highland Baptist Men’s Ministry that builds and delivers beds for children in Lubbock who do not have a bed of their own.

Why it matters
Every child needs a place to sleep.
A bed is something many of us take for granted. But for children across our community, a good night's sleep may mean a couch, the floor, or sharing a crowded space.
Beds4Kids exists to meet that practical need with dignity, care, and the love of Christ. Each bed is built by volunteers and delivered directly to a child who needs it.
Built by volunteers
Ordinary people building something that matters.
Men and women of all ages come together to cut, sand, drill, glue, assemble, and prepare each bed for delivery. Some have years of woodworking experience. Others are holding a drill for the first time.
You don't have to be a carpenter to be part of it.
More than a bed
It's about more than a bed.
A delivery gives our volunteers an opportunity to care for a family in a very practical way. When welcomed, they pray with families, encourage them, and help connect them with other Highland ministries and resources.
A bed may be what brings us to the door. Caring for the family is why it matters.
The story so far
500+
Beds built and delivered in the first two years.
When Beds4Kids began, the hope was to build about 50 beds a year. In the ministry's first two years, volunteers built and delivered more than 500 beds throughout the Lubbock area.
Every one of those beds represents a child or family our volunteers had the opportunity to serve.
Reaching families
Working together for Lubbock's children.
Beds4Kids works with local schools, churches, and community partners to identify families who need a bed. Those trusted relationships help this ministry reach children with care, respect, and discretion.
